This week on EJR, I am going back to the Flint water crisis of 2016. Now, five years later, when people mention Flint--they think lead poisoning through contaminated water. Some minor players were finally prosecuted, but the true power leading the charge, was never brought to justice. Tonight, I will discuss those power players--including the secretive but powerful Mackinac Center.
Get ready to be further enraged. The scope of this crime includes environmental racism--and political racism as well. The very essence of local democracy was nullified in Michigan with the Emergency Manager Law. To date, that unconstitutional law remains and has spread to other states like a cancer.
