Carlos Colón was born in Spanish Harlem and raised in the South Bronx during the turbulent late ‘60’s and early ‘70’s. graduating with an English degree from Lehman College, CUNY in 1980, he spent the following years working various sales jobs while also working with film producers on developing original screenplays and adaptations he’d written. In later years,
he founded and in still performing as the front man for The Jersey Shore Roustabouts, a retro rock ‘n’ roll with a loyal following in the New Jersey, New York and
Pennsylvania area. Sangre: The Color of Dying is his first
published novel and it has already been receiving praise for its unique approach towards a well-worn genre.
He is currently working on its sequel,
Sangre: The Wrong Side of Tomorrow.
