From Son to Songo to Timba called today Cuban Salsa politics by the Cuban Exile Community in Miami to ban any new tropical dance music popular in Cuba from getting airplay on US Spanish language Radio stations, seen on Television networks and written about in Spanish Language Newspapers is still happening.
The unique musical dance style was called Songo in the 70’s then Timba in the 90’s now called Cuban Salsa in the 2020’s has been Forbidden for 63 years to American Latin dance music lovers.
