Eddie Palmieri & Tito Puente: Newport Jazz Festival  Interview with Bill Boggs  Welcome to the last episode of the Centennial Celebration of the  birth of the King of Latin Music Tito Puente. we just heard an interview of Tito Puente and Eddie Palmieri about the collaboration for Newport Jazz Festival in NYC decades ago. 

On a night like yesterday May 31, 2000 Tito Puente died on the operating table at NYU Medical Center. The world lost a man that opened the door for all the latin artists touring the world today.

 El Maestro’s last album recording Obra Maestra - Masterpiece the winner of 2 Grammy I both Latin and English language Awards ceremonies.  The magic created when Tito Puente & Eddie Palmieri recorded together  will be a memory I will cherish forever.
