Instead, he led a team that created a weapon of (ultimately ...) "unimaginable destructive power," in a mythological effort (he has said ...) "to end ALL wars ...."
So, was it Oppenheimer's unique obsession with Sanskrit (and its Ancient Hindu History ...) which allowed him -- after seeing his first shattering atomic detonation -- to suddenly see in it "Krishna's Universal Form" ... a "radiant, terrifying being ... of many mouths and eyes!?"
"If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the mighty one [Krishna] ..." was Oppenheimer's translation of that moment of an incomparable dawn at "Jornada del Muerto" ....
