LAURA MAYER at the age of 14 was diagnosed with Anterior Horn Cell, a progressive, degenerative neurological disease. She was told that she would be in a wheelchair at 25 and dead at 40 by some of the world's best medical doctors. Through the course of the disease, she had 18 operations, including 15 reconstructive tendon transfers. However, none of the above yielded her the victory nor healing that she received when, she decided not to END LIFE for herself and chose to Live, by LETTING GO so that she could HEAL on the inside/out. Today, both of Laura's hands are open because she chose to see herself HEALED regardless of her physical state
