Israel Approves a Deal and the Pentagon Wants $114.7 Million for DEI

Israeli officials voted to approve a deal in which dozens of hostages kidnapped by Hamas will be let go in exchange for Israel releasing some Palestinian women and minors convicted of crimes from prisons inside Israel. The Pentagon is requesting $114.7 million to fund "diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility" initiatives in fiscal year 2024 after the department failed its sixth consecutive annual audit. North Korea launched what it claimed was a spy satellite into orbit.
