Actor Jon Voight responded to the tragedy in Uvalde, Texas, by calling for new measures to be put in place for gun ownership by credentialing people based on their “mental capacity,” among other things. Authorities are investigating whether or not a retired federal agent had advanced warning that a white supremacist was planning on murdering black people at a Tops Friendly Markets store in Buffalo, New York earlier this month. Republicans in Congress have introduced a bill to define what a woman is.
