Judge Amy Coney Barrett has been named President Trump's Supreme Court nomination, but before she was officially named she faced attacks on her religious beliefs. During her confirmation hearing when she was named to the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in 2017, the devout Catholic was subjected to accusations and questions based on her religious beliefs. Senator Ben Sasse has been one of a few very vocal defenders of Judge Barrett and he noted that this approach pushes the boundaries of what is legal. "Attacks on religious liberty have no place in Congress,". "The Constitution is pretty simple: No religious tests for office, period." Jonathan Jakubowski, author of Bellwether Blues: A Conservative Awakening of the Millennial Soul, is scheduled to join me to discuss this outrageous - yet totally predictable - attack and what he believes the reaction to it will be in amount voters in the swing states.
