Since the election of Donald Trump the folks on the left have been in a state of meltdown. The media is trying to figure out "where they went wrong", college students are hiding in their "safe spaces", and the Democrats have even changed leadership in Congress. In all of the flailing about, as the political left tries to regain it's footing, an old call has been renewed. "Get rid of the Electoral College!" Sadly, many Americans have forgotten why the Framers gave us the Electoral College in the first place. Many, even on the right, have been convinced that the EC is just some government trick to keep the people from having their voice be heard.
