What the Left wanted from Zimmerman

The political left in this country wanted two things out of this case. First, they wanted an excuse to attack "Stand Your Ground" laws that were popping up around the nation (especially in the southern states). Second, they can push their agenda easier when we are all divided into smaller groups (race, faith, sexual orientation, etc.). Add the fact that the White House needed a really big distraction from all of the scandals and you have all the reasons for racial division designed by the media and certain left leaning politicians.
