John M. Bailey Jr.   served as  an  Officer in the  United States Air Force, during the Viet Nam War  and later flew as Captain for Delta Air Lines  for over 30 years, after retirement he became one of the co-founders of   Organization for Black Aerospace Professionals - OBAP and now Black Aviation Airline Pioneers BAAP Speaker Series.  This organization helps youth achieve their dreams in aerospace
