A Catch Conversation with Lauren Woods

A native of Dallas, Lauren has worked representing indigent defendants in the federal criminal justice system since 2014. She served as an Assistant Federal Public Defender in Dallas from 2014 until 2019. In June of 2019, she left the Defender's office to go into private practice. She feels like her vocational calling is to love and walk with individuals caught up in the criminal justice system, give them zealous representation, and to tell their stories in the hopes that people will see that they are more than just the worst thing they've ever done.
