Contemporary presidents are especially prone to mistaking spin for reality for several reasons. If they misrepresent what they are intenting as far as policy making, it is deceptive. Presidents are nominated not by other elected officials who have some sense of what it takes to govern, but by activists and party electorates who value inspiration and solicit entertaining provocation. The importance of mass communication leads presidents to believe that the words and activities that got them into office can work once they are in office: more rallies, more speeches, more tweets, and more television advertising.  This can often be wrong.  Sometimes negotiation needs to be done internally with governing bodies not through public appeal.

Wade joins Jane and discusses his grievances regarding how law enforcement and protests are managed.  Jon and Don  join later to discuss effective governance and Jon compares Trump to Biden.

We had a lengthy call from Florida in which Nathan states the constitutional origins were never properly put in place as far as congressional representation.  He stated that we do not need district by district representatives but a collective group of legislators representing each state as a whole, not necessarily by geographical apportionment.
