The U.S. embargo has caused a forced exodus of 2.3 million Venezuelans

Millions are fleeing Venezuela to go to Bogota, Colombia.   They are fleeing just with the clothes on their back.  Some have to cross steep mountain passes on foot trails to get to Bogota.  Many have died or gone hungry.

 The economic crisis that has engulfed Venezuela under President Nicolás Maduro has set off a staggering exodus. The economic damage is among the worst in Latin American history, researchers say, with more than three million people leaving the country in recent years — largely on foot  2.3 million people have left the country.

Also in the news, Donald Trump is threatening to close the border, stranding workers, truck deliveries and international commerce.  His recent financies has been looked into recently.  The population shifts in South and Central America combined with emigration attempts into U.S.are creating a humanitarian crisis.
