How George H.W. Bush almost died for his political convictions once upon a time

George Herbert Walker Bush has lived a life of honor and discretion.  That is my statement, a diehard democrat.  He was the youngest in WWII at age 19 who flew 58 missions in the Pacific Theatre.  He had to make many shrewd decisions about his life including to choose an oil business risk over a traditional Wall Street career his family succeeded in.  He publicly defended voting for LBJ over Barry Goldwater.  He openly defended Black people serving in Vietnam in mid 60s when most of the Republican party will still pro segregationists.  He attempted to block the John Birch Society for taking the Texas Republican party hostage.  He also experienced personal tragedy when his young daughter Robin died of leukemia at age 4.  He stood up to the mean, scandalous behavior of Donald Trump and publicly declared his affinity to Hillary Clinton.  We also discuss the history of the Bush family and the history of Saudi Arabia.  FDR was the first president to guarantee Saudi Arabia national security in exchange for oil development.
