"Ningún amor por los Jefes. Sólo Loco para el showman"
My last week of working at the Bleeder Meekly, the staff writer had an outbreak of herpes with little blisters all over his hands and arms. He didn't know what he had because he forgot whom he had slept with 5 years earlier unprotected. It was the kind of environment, where one person slammed down 4 brewski's before he even began work. The leader of the parade left everything in the graphic designers hands including sales calls, adjusting the size of the ad etc. He would come in an hour before publication and size things up and make a few last minute phone calls. The Zenith, another local 3 week publication in town, pays it's feature writers $50 an article. They only have a max of 6-10 pages but manage to respect the content. The Bleeder makes 1/2 mil give or take 50,000 on advertising and has never paid their contributing writers one dime except one NPR column they have to buy.
More details to come about a child who grew up in the housing projects of Superior and never got over the fact he was born poor. Money to him is a glove. You have to talk him into to shedding his first skin before he loosens up and becomes charitable. It doesn't take someone noble to recognize that someone who helped you a year and one half should get some kudos. Unfortunately, it took the State of MN to point the way of employment law indiscretion and what is fair vs. unfair.
We also discuss the Green Party and Republican party.
