Friar Dan Berrigan, Friar Tony Mullaney; what Wall Street could learn

Tonight I will read excerpts from Catholic priest social activists that would change the direction of this country to take the focus off the political candidates and create action to actually help the poor, disenfranchised and foreign/domestic policy.  Like the Milwaukee 14 and Catonsville 9 who performed an action of destroying 1A draft cards for the Vietnam War, they knew that the idea of preserving mankind took precedence over their own personal future.  Berrigan was involved in influencing many lives as well as his brother Phil, who changed Friar Lawrence Rosebaugh's life while he was in seminary.  They did many more actions well beyond the disparity of the Vietnam war.  This network of priests were involved in every aspect of alleviating poverty and inequality from South America to the NE corridor of the U.S.

Daniel Berrigan died this week at age 93.  He was pivotal in Vietnam War Resistance, Catonsville 9 and other actions including civil rights.

I will also touch on Noam Chomsky's new documentary.
