SUICIDE RESPONSE

Private security officers are often called to emergencies involving confrontations, armed subjects and those thinking of harming themselves. Suicides in our schools, workplaces and our communities are on the rise and the chances that a security officer may have to respond and de-escalate a suicidal person is also increasing. During this program we will look at the causes of suicides, the proper methods of response and actions and talk about aftercare.
