SAVING OUR COMMUNITIES, BUILDING OUR FAMILIES featuring AZIZA (Z) DAVIS (daughter) and MAMA SHU (Her birth Mother)

Aziza (Z) arrived at the Community Garden with a baby in tow, he was still being breastfed yet his mother was on a mission to join this garden so that she and her family could grow their own food! And she has not stopped!

With two sons, she has elevated her skills and includes the children in the backyard garden which is huge. Both boys willingly participate in growing and doing videos concerning what they are growing. The youngest especially eats directly from the ground. He picks and eats with a huge smile on his face!! Homeschooling and Life Education at its best!! Father is proud of his family and eagerly lends help. It’s a Family Affair, building strong bonds.

Now we all know an apple does not fall far from the tree. The work and passion began in Detroit with the mother of Z who has been steadfast in creating an impressive model for everybody to learn and benefit from. NOW THIS IS FAMILY LEGACY AT ITS FINEST!! Mama Shu is the Founder of The Avalon Village in Highland Park, Michigan. She’s a Powerhouse and willingly leads the way with heart and passion!
