Join "In the Stream" producer and host Jessica Dylan Winter as she welcomes Steven "Sarge" Pickman to the show.
Sarge is a lively and passionate self-proclaimed “black Jew.” He’s an extraordinary entertainer with multiple talents. A quadruple threat. He’s a singer, a pianist, an actor and a comedian -- and he’s one of the most down-to-earth people you’ll ever meet.
His story is filled with interesting twists and he is filled with inspiration. He's been homeless and drug-addicted, and he's turned his life around. Driven by a considerable inner push to get out there and help people change their lives for the better, Sarge uses his comedic force to lighten things up while delivering important messages.
Sarge has used his comedy to open shows for some of the biggest names in music -- Natalie Cole, Aretha Franklin, Paul Anka, The Beach Boys, The Four Tops, Taylor Dayne, Donna Summer, Wayne Newton and more. He has worked on some of the biggest stages in show business -- from the Big Screen with legends like Garry Marshall to Radio City Music Hall to Major League Baseball's All-Star Game to entertaining our nation's troops in Iraq.
Dive into the stream to hear what Sarge has to say!
The show will close with a short, guided meditation.
