A few years ago KENDRICK LAMAR intentionally chose DARKER MODELS for his Poetic Justice video, but that was viewed in the HIP HOP industry as going against the industry norm. In the past LIGHT SKINNED BLACKS were deemed to have more privilege than their darker peers, which often lead to different degrees of envy (i.e. WILLIE LYNCH). However has the recent movement to highlight the beauty of MELANINATED people gotten rid of this type of envy? If so, why are SKIN BLEACHING creams considered BEAUTY products and why are they so popular in AFRICAN countries? .MENTAL DIALOGUE asking the questions America's afraid to ask.
