In 1970 Gil Scot-Heron prophesized the REVOLTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED and basically laid claim to the idea that the people of this country would wrestle back control of this country from the elite.  In BLACK AMERICA this think piece was an ode to all of the BLACK REVOLUTIONARIES who had been killed, jailed or ran underground by the government in the 60s.  There were many factions that competed for the collective mindset of the BLACKS whether it was MALCOLM X, MARTIN, the BLACK PANTERS, the NOI, or the NAACP.  Regardless of the organization the people had a commitment to the struggle that some say is no longer exist among BLACKS today.  Is this true, is BLACK AMERICA too divided to commit to the struggle any longer? Have we gotten too comfortable, or is it no longer necessary to carry a REVOLUTIONARY MINDSET as AFRICAN-AMERICANS? Are we willing to succeed and/or protect ourselves BY ANY MEANS NECESSARYMENTAL DIALOGUE asking the questions America's afraid to ask. ALL I ASK IS THAT YOU THINK
