The Miss December Diaries

​Cristy Thom is an American born artist. She was born in Los Angeles, California. Cristy became Playboy Magazine’s Miss February in 1991. After a brief stint at acting, she turned to her first true passion; art. Cristy graduated from Otis College of Art and Design in 2001 with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. She paints hyper realistic, large scale paintings on a vast variety of subjects. Her paintings hang in many collections and have been shown in galleries and museums around the country. 

​In 2020, Cristy turned her talents to a new substrate – paper! She started a new business called 17Chickens. They specialize in very unique, extremely high quality, handmade greeting cards. Every card is a little work of art in its own right. Since the advent of 17Chickens, she has sold hundreds of cards to stunned customers, who return again and again for more of her cards. They are that wonderful!
