This Tuesday evening on Mz. Inez Sez - Let's Talk About It with Dr. Valencia Weaver, Author - Welcome Home Wynter Skye. She read to her granddaughter and saw how fascinated she was with the books. She looked for children's books with which she and her granddaughter could identify with and that had characters of color. Unfortunately, she found very few African American children's series books that she could read to her granddaughter.The Wynter Skye Series is a collection of short children's stories loosely based on Dr. Weaver's granddaughter and family. The Wynter Skye series books are fun, imaginative, relatable, and fascinating.
