Today, as we hear of the drawdown in Afghanistan--we also hear that the Taliban are being wooed to be part of its leadership. When did the enemy, who opened their doors of hospitality for Al Qaeda (to plot the death of thousands of innocent Americans) become worthy of such high esteem? I guess visions change for the sake of expediency. Does that also mean our soldiers left behind are expendable? Quest for freedom oddly enough must be fought for our defenders to have the ability " to win". The "Backup Mode" which seems to be this administration's plan is dangerous not just for soldiers but for a nation. Hear about two soldiers stories--USMC Lance Cpl. Joshua Bernard (KIA Afghanistan '09) and Lt. Michael Behenna their stories have scarred this nation's history--unfinished business that only you and I as citizens can demand be ended rightly and honorably. Won't you help honor Independence Day by sharing their stories and asking Congress to look at their concerns? It's our turn to fight for their rights and let's not leave their lives casualties of political correctness or rather our lack of concern.
