It's January of 2025. And we would like to extend our appreciation to all the guests, friends, fans and supporters who have been here celebrating with us throughout 2024. Of course 2024 had its times of grief and sorrow but it also has its moments in which we made memories we would enjoy for a lifetime. For that we say both congratulations and sympathies. We look forward to 2025 with hope and for a better year for all who share this planet with us. With a strength of spirit we can face both our grief and pleasant moments with the same resolve and detemination and without falling prey to the catatrophe of depression. So let's continue to celebrate all the beautiful moments we can share. And we take time out for a conversation, so Let's Talk.
It hardly seems like four years ago that the United States was in uproar as people who were dissatisfied with the outcome of the Presidential elections stormed the capitol to disrupt the process to certify the election. Accordingly, January 6th became a date in infamy. Ironically, the man who is alleged to have instigated the riot is now the president elect and on Monday January 6th his election into the presidency will be certified and he will take office on January 20, 2025. More importantly, he has been convicted of felony charges and is scheduled to sentenced on January 10. What if the sentencing judge decides to impose a sentence which includes a term of incarceration? Can the people of the United States continue to point the finger of condemnation at leaders of other countries, drug cartels and other criminal syndicates? Where is the sense of shame where people have been incarcerated for life because they committed three misdemeanors? This a country where people are executed for suspicion of committing a traffic violation. Does the term conscience fit anywhere in the American psyche? Come on in.
