To adequately claim that learning has been achieved, there must be a noticeable change in behavior on part of the learner. It is the demonstration of lessons taught by the teacher and understood by the student. When we speak of an aim in general, the focus is on time phased and measurable outcomes. However, a more important consideration is how intentional are the methods of reaching at-risk children of Urban American communities in the interest of effectively teaching them. All parties who are honestly interested in proactive change in the performance of children in Urban America must accept the need for real change of heart, mind and actions for parents, children and neighborhoods.
Please join TALK-STRAIGHT host, y Rev. Dr. Rueben Dockery as he engages the audience in a dialogue about measuring learning in Urban America.
