When we speak of an aim in general, the focus is on time-phased and measurable outcomes. However, a more important consideration is how intentional are the methods of reaching at-risk children in the interest of effectively teaching them. The intent of education is to position the young to become self-sufficient rather than to secure job security for the education industry. Moreover, the original intent of public education was to prepare children to become good citizens of America.
