The Prophet supplicates for righteousness after every prayer

Abu Umamah reported: I never prayed behind the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while I was near to him except that I would hear him say at the end of every prayer, “O Allah, forgive all of my sins and mistakes. O Allah, refresh me and protect me and guide me to righteous deeds and character, for none can guide to its righteousness and divert its evil but you.”
